Kandinsky – “Blue Sky”

Since childhood, Wassily Kandinsky had a talent for seeing the world in a special way. Despite the fact that he studied to be a lawyer, received the title of associate professor, received the right to teach, Vasily makes a strong-willed decision and becomes an artist. The turning point in the life of the future artist was an accident. After Kandinsky saw the work of Claude Monet, he decides to try his hand at painting. His first paintings were made in the genre of impressionism.

A picture that looks like an animated film is the painting by Wassily Kandinsky “Blue Sky”. Since ancient times, blue has held pride of place among other colors in art and culture. Blue is a space that has no clearly defined boundaries. Kandinsky considered this color to be the personification of peace and depth. A dark, saturated shade as if calls for it into infinity.

In the painting Blue Sky, graphic rigor gives way to baroque motives. In the picture, we notice some creatures – these are strange figures that seem to float across the sky. The artist did not even try to soften the bizarre and grotesque effect of the painting. The figures are moving, smiling. We notice a rather strange figure that looks like a kite – it stares at us in surprise. Every creature smiles. We smile back at them.

Looking at beings, we cannot understand whether it is the sky or the sea. The creatures are similar to fish, squid and jellyfish. Kandinsky did not define them. He left it to the speculation and fantasies of the audience. Experts do not attribute this work of Vasily Vasilyevich to abstract canvases. We do not see aggression or hidden conflicts here.
